Chia Cat - Day 7:


NO PHOTO


I didn't post a photo because now I feel like the Chia Cat is mocking me. I put it in the sun, talk to it, let it drink from the finest water known to man (Fiji water, FYI) and what do I get? Nothing.

In other news, I won $25 on a scratch-off lottery ticket! What did I do with my winnings? LET IT RIDE! And, of course, I lost it all. Such is life.

Chia Cat - Day Three:

We have germination!
Oh my Lord, this is exciting!

What's up? Life update: Working and sleeping. I caught the first episode of AMC's "Breaking Bad" last week and I really like it. I have set my DVR to record the remaining episodes. I also like "The King of Queens." I was never able to watch it because of work. Now it's on four times a day. Crazy world. Excuse me for a second...YAWN! OK, I've got nothing else.

OK...I screwed up. The directions said I had to soak the seeds for 24 hours. I thought 10 minutes would be just as good. Oops. I've re-soaked the seeds and NOW it's a waiting game. Isn't the internet amazing?

R.I.P.
I got home the other night (after a long day) and heard this weird gurgling sound. I said to myself, "Now that's not right." Sure enough, my water heater burst. I turned off the water (I'm handy like that) because it was pouring everywhere. I ran down to the lobby to get the manager's phone number. Our manager's funny, his posted numbers are both not working. After an internet search, I FINALLY tracked down his new number and called. Voice mail (AHHHHHHHH!). As I'm leaving him a message, someone's calling me; this is all very confusing. It was him, he knew I was calling because a guy on the first floor called him about water leaking into his apartment. It was fixed the next morning but sadly, not before I had to wash up in my kitchen (I had to heat some water on the stove) -- it wasn't a pretty scene, ha ha.
