Purple Rain is the greatest American cinematic experience ever! OK, I’d put it behind Easy Rider and Two-Lane Blacktop. But it’s still pretty darn good.

My weekend started off on Friday night. Tiffany and I had some Chinese food and played Blackjack for fun. Now that I think about it, it was an anti-Valentine’s Day evening. Pretty fun.

Saturday, I woke up around 1 – really late for me, it felt great. I couldn’t get motivated to do anything. Then around 5:30 I heard the laundry mat calling my name. I was halfway there and this nice woman asked me if I was going to do my laundry. Turns out, they were closing in 10 minutes, damn! I carried my laundry back to the apartment and regrouped. I decided to just go get some dinner and buy some scratch-off lotto tickets. Saturday night! Ha ha. What was the excitement of the night? I won $45! That’s about as good as it gets for scratch-off tickets. I’m not going to buy anymore. Not today anyway, ha ha.

Sunday. I woke up around 9, got a shower and drove to Nutley to do my laundry. I haven’t been there in a long time. While my clothes were washing I walked over to the store next door and bought some shoes.

Bob bought new shoes

After laundry, I drove to the A & P. It was so crowded! I’m guessing that everyone was loading up before the big snowstorm. This winter didn’t disappoint; if it’s not snowing, it’s freezing cold – there’s always been something going on.

That’s it for today. I’m cutting it short because I guessing that everyone has today off. Enjoy your day.

God Bless America.
