Another great weekend in the books! It all started off on Friday night.

My good friend Jeff was in town and we met up at the Old Castle pub in midtown.

[L to R]: Bob, Jeff, Pub

There was a group of us, not pictured; Sean, John (I think) and some girl (I can't remember her name). I had a fun time, great to see Jeff and Sean. The group was going to go to another bar but I was just in the mood to chill...I knew that if I would have joined them, it would have been a 3 AM night. I wasn't in the mood for that. Because...

Saturday I woke up at 7:30 AM, the plan? Take my car into the shop for the 7500-mile check up. My car has 10,267 miles...oops, ha ha. I'm not a fan of going to the dealer for service but since the car is still pretty new, I might as well do it up right. I was very impressed with the service there. They put out a bunch of newspapers but they didn't just slap them down, they fanned them out - classy. They had free coffee, doughnuts...very nice. What does the 7500-mile service entail?

7,500-Mile Service

* Change oil and filter
* Rotate tires
* Perform check on vehicle’s computer system
* Top off fluid levels
* Inspect and adjust brakes (including parking brake)
* Inspect steering
* Check and adjust belts
* Inspect front and rear suspension
* Inspect exhaust system
* Inspect and adjust tire pressures
* Inspect battery and terminals
* Inspect brake linings
* Inspect hoses and clamps
* Road test to inspect drivability problems
* Inspect wiper blades

Looking back on that list, it seems like the word, "Inspect," is one of those fancy buzz words that means nothing, ha ha. My Uncle Ron will love to know that with a discount coupon, my service came to $122 - they get you coming and going. But hey, free doughnuts. It's the little things.

After the dealership, laundry. While my clothes were washing, I bought some soap at Target. After laundry, I went to the A & P. I forgot about my soap purchase and bought MORE soap there. I have double the soap I need! (must be nice)

After all my errands (and now that I'm not sick), I finally had time to check out Kipley & Karen's new joy, August.

Man, that's one cute kid!

I cleaned my apartment after that.

Saturday night! The plan? Ted's Montana Grill with: Jay, "Sally," Jon, Walter, Tom, Cara and myself. Ted Turner makes a mean Bison...It was great!

Mmmmmmm, Bison.

We had a GREAT time.

Sunday morning, man was I tired! I had something going on three nights in a row...shattering my old record of nothing going on, ha ha ha!

I watched some football and before I knew it, it was 7:00 PM...time does fly.

So, that's all I know. Have a great day/week!

Hey, it's October! Wow.

Best,

Bob
