This David Blaine thing has me scratching my head. He didn't hold his breath for 9 minutes, he was two minutes short. My big question...WHY THE HELL DIDN'T HE JUST FAKE IT?! Does anybody remember MAGIC**?! I do not get it. Moving on...

Yesterday there was a little ugliness on bobborden.com. It's no fun naming a friend the A-hole of the Week. But often in life, when something bad happens, something good hopefully isn't too far behind. That thought takes us to Monday night, I'm in my office working...it wasn't a bad day. It was one of those odd days where you were just looking for things to go wrong and they never did...things just kept getting better. So, I'm in my office and in walks Late Show announcer/friend, Alan Kalter. He has a fancy box in his hands, he reached in, pulled out a chocolate chip cookie and said, "Here, this is delicious." How cool is that?! That was my best moment yesterday. I'm proud to be able to get back to a positive place by naming Alan Kalter one of Bob's People!

Alan Kalter, a real class act...
and one of Bob's People

Way to go Alan!

Our receptionist Kim saw the whole Alan exchange and asked me, "Why don't you ever put me in your diary?" I explained to her that to get in my diary, you have to do something really good or something really bad...saying I want to be in your diary makes me want to never put you in. I might have been a little short with her. But me being the old softy, when I was leaving work I passed Kim's area...I had second thoughts and decided to take her photo:

Unfortunately, Kim had already
left for the evening

Sorry Kim, better luck next time.

I had a weird craving for a Steak-Umm sandwich Sunday night. I was real lazy on Sunday, not feeling terribly social, there was a big Music & Arts festival in Hoboken and I just couldn't even think about going up there. Pretty bad. But you know what got me out of the house? That damn Steak-Umm. Once I got ouside I realized how stupid I'm being. I'm missing out on life and I forget that all the time. I'm getting off topic...I walk up to the Shop Rite and they didn't carry the Steak-Umm brand! So, I had to buy non Steak-Umm...I know, this story gets worse and worse.

Not Steak-Umm
(Hey, the stomach wants what
the stomach wants)

Doesn't look so great, right? Well, it was great! Murry's Sandwich Steaks (Their name doesn't really roll off the tongue) hit the spot! And I'm sure my stomach cramps were just a coincidence (just a joke, don't sue). Live and learn. (Must eat better)

Oh man, if you could only see how I spelled "coincidence" before I used spell check, wow...so sad. I always say I learned everything I needed to know by the 5th grade...that may be more true than I thought, ha ha.

That's it! Have a great day!

Best,

Bob
