Last night I had a nice dinner with my friends "Sally" and Walter. We enjoyed lovely conversation and some lovely Chinese food. I had the Kung-Pao chicken, "Sally" had the sesame chicken and Walter had chicken & broccoli. Walter and I also shared a bottle of wine...more on that in a second. It was a nice way to break up what has been a pretty hard week for me. And as an added bonus, sitting one table away...Mr. Jeff Greenfield from CNN.
Celebrity sighting
I was going to say hi but then I thought that may just end up being confusing for everyone involved, ha ha.
The wine. Wine's good, there's just no way around that...the downside, eventually, you will have to use the bathroom. We parted ways and I walked to the Port Authority. By the time I got there, I really had to use the restroom. "So, use the restroom, what's the big deal?" Well, you call it a restroom, I think of it more as the homeless depot. I think that's where they all meet up to plan their days. It's a little hard to do the business at hand, with some guy standing behind you, screaming in some language you've never heard of. But when you're in this situation, don't panic...there's another restroom on the second floor. I get up there, they're cleaning half of it and the other half is crazy busy...I don't like an audience.
Cut to me on the bus to Hoboken, in pain. Our bus is behind another bus and we're making ALL the stops. I finally get off the bus, I'm very uncomfortable, there's no way I'm going to make it home. I do contemplate taking care of business right where I stand...but just then I look up and see my oasis in the sand...Seven-Star Pizza! The guy lets me use the restroom (it's a small place)! That's the BEST feeling...I can't even put it into words. I gave the guy a nice tip, he was trying to turn it down and I told him, you don't understand, I WAS NOT going to make it home...ha ha. Anyway...
The music Gods hooked me up yesterday...My friend Tom let me check out his copy of the new Prince album.

Damn, it's good! He's a talented guy. Honorable mention to my friend Carl in the UK...Carl heard my need for Prince and sent me a CD -- Carl's the real deal -- thanks buddy!
OK, that's enough...Great friends, wine, Jeff Greenfield, Prince...what more do you want?!
Have a good one!
Best,
Bob
