Yesterday was Columbus Day. In NYC they have a parade...so you know it's a real holiday. I was thinking my Monday morning commute was going to take longer because the buses would probably be on a holiday schedule. So, I got up extra early, walked to the bus and to my surprise, it came right away. As the bus kept making stops, more people got on -- it's like a normal day! Except, I'm an hour and twenty minutes early for work...and that's on an early day (9:00) to begin with! So, you can't win.

But as with everything in life, it all balances out; I have jury duty today. I'm not looking forward to it but what the hell. I was called a few years back but didn't have to go. For some reason, I have to go to Jersey City -- I don't know Jersey City, I hate that I HAVE to go over there. But maybe I'll meet my future wife in the courthouse, so I'm going into this with an open mind.

OK, I'm tired, you probably had yesterday off so please read yesterday's diary, I thought it was pretty good considering I didn't do anything. I'll be back tomorrow with a full report on my day in court -- hey, if I get a case, I'll share that with you too (kidding, that's going to play huge tomorrow with my fellow jurors).
