I opened Monday's diary with this line: "I just spent the last 20 minutes looking up used ukuleles on Ebay." By Thursday afternoon, I was playing a ukulele thanks to Jo McElroy!
Thank you JO!
This ukulele is only hours old and I just love it! I already bought a pitch pipe to tune it, a book to learn songs and some new strings. Thank you so much to bobborden.com reader Jo McElroy from Oklahoma! So very nice of you! At first I thought some punk kids were having fun with me but you're the real deal. I know you don't want anything but I have, HAVE to send you something. You name it, I'll try. Damn nice. Take note all you other freeloaders! This train ain't for free anymore!
On a normal day, my luck would have ended there but I had plans to meet up with my friend Laura after work. We had drinks a few months ago...so why not drinks again?! The place; Court Street. They're known for great food and for great wine. But we only went there for the second part, ha ha. We shared some wine and then we met up with her friends:
[L to R] Bryan, Eileen & Laura
It's always nice to meet good people. I was proud of myself for not freaking out and walking out the service entrance, ha ha (I'm not a people person).
That's it! Have a freakin' awesome weekend! Thanks again Jo!
Stay Beautiful,
Bob
