After a long, hard day at work, I don't mind telling you, all I wanted to do was go home. I get on the subway and notice that there's no one else on the train, this could only mean one thing; no air conditioning, which translates into about 100 degrees, easy. Relief is only a half a car away but I, along with two other beaten men (beaten by society) decided to sweat it out.
Here's an actual photo of the car I was on:
Too hot to sleep!
I make it down to the Port Authority and their sweet, sweet air conditioning washes over me like a velvet blanket of coolness.
What's the point of this story? Are you ready? Check it: Good things come to those who wait. In our everyday lives, we all have to endure a little BS, a little heat, if you will, but in the end, that sweet, sweet heaven is there to cool us all off.
And that's one to grow on.
(note: Today's diary would have been longer and made more sense but I fell asleep on my sofa...in front of the air conditioner.)
Have a good one --
Bob
