I started bobborden.com so many years ago to avoid the everyday mindless trivia that people love to indulge in. “How was your weekend, Stan?” I guarantee no one cares about Stan’s weekend or 'Bob's' for that matter. So, when people asked me about my weekend, I’d just say, ‘check out bobborden.com’ and then walk away. I love it and it worked for years but now I feel like maybe I’m not taking an interest in my fellow man. At the very least, I could fake being interested. So from now on, instead of saying, ‘check out bobborden.com,’ I’m going to say, ‘Oh, I had a great one, went down to my shore house.’ That’s something, I have a shore house. I mean, in my lie I have one but no one needs to know that, it will be our little secret and now I won’t seem so cold. Something to think about.

On to my real weekend…Friday I got home late from work and kicked it.

Saturday I woke up around 10. Without question, it was the nicest day of the year. I stayed inside and played video games. I can’t explain why I didn’t want to go out, I was just being lazy. I had plans to see a movie at 9 PM and my whole day seemed to be centered on that. It shouldn’t have but my mind works in funny ways. Funny, stupid, ways. I went into the city to meet up with Walter, “Sally,” Jay and Tom. We went to see:

SIN CITY

It was pretty darn good. Very violent, some good nudity and a lot of curse words. I’m not a comic book guy but Jay said it was pretty true to the book. Very interesting; making a film from a graphic novel, as they call it. I want to see it again. Damn good violence!

I got a slice on my walk home, around 12:30 AM. I didn’t eat good on Saturday. I had some soup for lunch and a hot dog at the movie. The slice came from 7 Star Pizza, so good! One slice is really like two. My knives and pizza cutter were unwashed, so…and I’m not proud of this…I got my scissors and cut away, ha ha. I felt like a rock star…a very poor rock star, with two cats, a big gut and no woman.

Sunday I woke up at 12:00! How’s that for some sweet sleep in time? I got my laundry together and headed over to the Laundry Depot in Jersey City. I’m getting to the point where the thought of laundry just pisses me off. I just hate it! And yet society says I must have clean clothes, so I will continue to do laundry. I almost bought a chair at Pier 1 Imports. It was an ‘As Is’ chair for $200. I liked it but didn’t REALLY need it so I passed. I went to the A & P after that and went back home. I walked around Hoboken for a while. I got a shampoo and a haircut at SuperCuts. I walked around some more…I was surprised by all the people out; it was crazy. Such is life.

I walked home, had some dinner, cleaned my apartment and called it a night.

That’s it! Have a great day.

Best,

Bob
