Friday night I stayed extra long at work, cleaning up my office. I had crap everywhere. I was killing time because I was going out to dinner at 8:30. I met up with: Jay, Walter, Sally, Tom and Chris. We were celebrating Jay’s birthday…again. Jay’s birthday was three weeks ago but he got sick and we had to postpone it. It was better this way; it stretched over two weeks! That’s something. We went to a BBQ place called Blue Smoke. It was a good time. Happy Birthday Jay!

I got home around 12:30 and watched some TV.

Saturday I woke up around 11:00. It was a beautiful day, so, I watched 3 hours of the FBI Files on Discovery. When are people going to learn that you can’t kill anyone these days. The only way to kill someone is to use ice bullets and I don’t think Wal-Mart sells those yet. Around 4 I took my curtains down to have them washed. My apartment seemed so different without them, I liked the extra space – it felt open. I drove to the Laundry Depot in Jersey City. While my clothes were in the wash, I went to Pier 1 Imports, Target and walked around the parking lot. I went to the A & P after that. You know, the same s%#t I do EVERY weekend. It’s a routine but it has to be done, otherwise, I’d have dirty clothes.

Saturday night I watched Dead Alive, some reviewer called it 'one of the most gruesome movies of all time.' It was pretty bad; I only made it through 25 minutes. I had Velvet Goldmine Tivoed, so I watched that instead. It was OK but had a little too much male nudity. ANY male nudity is TOO MUCH, ha ha. Ewan McGregor was one of the stars. I was watching the film and said to myself, “Wasn’t he going to drive around the world on a motorcycle?”

After a quick internet search, I was ordering this from Amazon UK:

Long Way Round

The people on Amazon loved this…I can’t wait to watch it.

Sunday was picture perfect -- 68 degrees, not a cloud in the sky. I stayed inside and cleaned my apartment. I wasn’t in the mood to go out and do stuff. I didn’t want to spend any money. I cleaned out my bedroom. I still feel like I have a long way to go. I just want the necessities. I want to be a minimalist but I have too much stuff! Around 6:30, I was hungry but didn’t have anything to eat in the fridge. I stayed inside so long; I had to force myself to leave. It was weird, like a reverse panic attack. But I sucked it up and picked up some Mexican food. I cleaned up a little more, watched the tube and that was about it.

That’s it! Have a great Monday!

Always,

Bob
